The University of Mirpurkhas
The University of Mirpurkhas is a distinguished institution in Pakistan’s Sindh province. It was officially established through the passage of the University of Mirpurkhas Bill (PAS/LEGIS-B-08/2021) by the Sindh Provincial Assembly. The bill was approved on July 26, 2023, and received the Governor of Sindh’s assent on August 20, 2023, officially recognizing the University of Mirpurkhas as an independent institution through Act No: XXXVI of 2023 of the Sindh legislature.

Establishment of this university in this region marks a significant milestone towards providing an opportunity to the people of less privileged areas including Umerkot. Khipro, Mithee and Tando Allahyar. The Universities around the world play a role of catalyst for bringing positive change in their respective societies.
This nascent organization in its initial phase envisions to provide a platform to the students and faculty members for academic excellence, innovative research, intellectual curiosity, discovery, critical thinking, skill development and industry and academia relationship.

A vibrant group of 35 students from Final Year and Third Year BS English (ELL), accompanied by their dedicated faculty members, represented the university with enthusiasm and academic excellence. Prof. Dr. Ghulam Saqib Buriro, Chairman of the Department, served as Chair for the PowerPoint Presentation sessions, while Dr. Ajab Lashari contributed as a Jury Member for the Poster Presentations. Ms. Ayesha Akbar commendably led and coordinated the student participants.
Our students actively engaged in scholarly discussions, interacted with keynote speakers, and posed thoughtful, critical questions, reflecting their academic maturity and intellectual curiosity. Their participation made the day highly productive, interactive, and enriching.
The delegation represented the University of Mirpurkhas with great pride and professionalism.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the University administration, especially the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar, for their support and facilitation in arranging travel for the student participants from Mirpurkhas to Jamshoro.
